BenCreatesBooks LLC ("we", "us", or "our") runs https://www.bencreatesbooks.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site, contact us, book a service, join our newsletter, or buy a digital product, and what we do with it. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send a project inquiry or a contact message, we receive your name, email address, and the project details you choose to share, such as your book's title, genre, timeline, and budget range. When you join The Inkwell Insider newsletter, we receive your first name and email address. When you book a call, we receive the details you enter in the scheduling tool. When you buy a digital product from our store, the store and its payment processor handle your payment details; we receive your name, email address, and order information, never your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, the pages you viewed, and the time of your visit. We use WP Statistics, an analytics tool that stores this data on our own server rather than sending it to an advertising network, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
How we use your information
- To read and reply to inquiries and messages.
- To provide quotes, plan projects, and deliver the services and digital products you order.
- To send The Inkwell Insider newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the Site secure, keep backups, and understand which pages and tools are useful so we can improve them.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Services that process data for us
We use a small number of trusted services to run the studio. Each one receives only the data it needs: Brevo (newsletter delivery), Payhip and Stripe (digital product sales and payments), Cal.com (call scheduling), DreamHost (website hosting), Google Drive (backup storage), and WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to message us there. If you open a project through a marketplace such as Fiverr, that platform's own privacy policy also applies to the information you share there.
Cookies
The Site uses a small number of cookies, mostly essential ones that keep the Site working and secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our Cookie Policy explains this in detail.
How long we keep your information
Inquiry and project records are kept for as long as needed to run the project and maintain business records, then deleted. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Website backups are stored on a weekly rotation and then overwritten.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, send you a copy, or delete it. Write to hello@bencreatesbooks.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are subscribed to the newsletter, you can also unsubscribe instantly from any email.
Children
The Site and our services are aimed at authors, publishers, and businesses. They are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
